Anglers are gearing up along the coast of Maryland and in the Chesapeake Bay following the announcement by Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Fisheries Service 2011 recreational summer flounder regulations will include a three-fish creel limit, an 18-inch minimum size limit and a season from April 16 through November 30.
The size limit for 2011 is a full inch shorter than the previous season. Much of Maryland's summer flounder fishing occurs near Ocean City on the Atlantic Coast and from Annapolis southward to the Virginia state line in the Chesapeake Bay.
